Jerusalem, 10 December, 2019 (TPS) -- The Chief of Defense of the German Armed Forces General Eberhard Zorn visited Israel this week as the guest of the IDF’s Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi.

This is Ebenhard’s first visit to Israel since taking office.

The IDF stated that he held meetings “on operational and strategic issues” with IDF officials.

He also visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem and placed a wreath. The visit was accompanied by the IDF’s attaché in Germany, Gen. Ziv Barak, and the German military attaché in Israel, Brigadier General Dr. Klaus Jürgen Häfner.

Zorn is the latest in a growing list of top defense and military officials from several countries who have visited Israel in recent weeks.
