Jerusalem, 30 May, 2016 (TPS) -- The government has unanimously approved the appointment of three new ministers- Yisrael Beiteinu party leader Avigdor Liberman as the new Defense Minister, his party member Sofa Landver as Immigrant Absorption Minister, and Tzachi Hanegbi from the Likud party as minister without portfolio in the Prime Minister’s Office.

This follows a compromise between Naftali Bennett and Benjamin Netanyahu that solved the political dispute over the ways the security cabinet operates. According to the deal, a temporary military attache will be appointed to update the ministers on security information.
