Greek Chief of Staff in Israel for Official Visit

Jerusalem, 31 October, 2019 (TPS) -- IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG. Aviv Kohavi on Wednesday hosted General Christos Christodoulou, Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff.
Christodoulou was received at the Hakirya base in Tel Aviv by an honor guard of IDF soldiers.
The two “discussed security issues, challenges, and opportunities,” the IDF said.
Christodoulou also visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem.
The Israeli Air Force (IAF) periodically holds large-scale aerial joint training exercises with the Hellenic Air Force.
Israeli Special Forces have trained in the Greek-controlled area in Cyprus.
