Hamas Terror Tunnel Exposed Inside Israel For First Time

Jerusalem, 18 April, 2016 (TPS) -- A terror tunnel reaching from Gaza into Israel was discovered by the IDF, the Israeli army cleared for publication on Monday. This is the first Hamas terror tunnel to be exposed inside Israeli territory.

“The tunnel discovery puts us in a complicated situation,” commented Alon Schuster, Head of the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council. “On the one hand, it shows there is a good reason for the high alertness. On the other hand, we congratulate the security forces for their improved abilities to locate tunnels and to strengthen the protection of the communities near the border.”

“For us, the important discovery is only the beginning,” added Schuster. “We demand that the barrier be completed along all the border, as fast as possible.”
