House Burned Down in Duma, Palestinians Claim Jews Torched It
Jerusalem, 20 July, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- According to Palestinian reports, a house was torched during the night in the village of Duma in Samaria, the same village in which three members of the Dawabsheh family died when their house was torched in July 2015.
The torched home in today’s incident reportedly belongs to Muhammad Dawabsheh, a relative of the victims of the previous arson. Palestinian resident claimed that today’s incident was an intentional arson by Jews. However, the police said it considered the incident as criminal in nature, and that it involved Palestinian rivals within the village.
One year ago, a firebomb killed baby Ali Dawabsheh and his parents Saad and Riham while they were sleeping in their home. Four-year-old Ahmed Dawabsheh was seriously wounded and was the sole survivor in the incident. A Jewish suspect, Amiram Ben Oliel, was arrested and indicted for allegedly committing the arson.
