Jerusalem, 2 November, 2019 (TPS) -- The Israeli Air Force (IAF) on Friday night bombed Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip in response to a volley of rockets launched by Gazan terrorists at Israeli civilian targets.

The terrorists launched 10 rockets at Israeli civilians, eight of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome System. One rocket exploded in Sderot causing damage to structures and vehicles, but no one was wounded by the projectile.

In response, the IAF struck Hamas terror targets in Gaza, including naval force and training compounds, a compound with an anti-missile simulator, weapon manufacturing and storage sites and underground infrastructures.

Ahmad Mohammad Shahri, 27, from Khan Younis in the south of the Strip, was killed in the raids.  Three other people were reportedly injured.

No organization took responsibility for the attack. Hamas and the Islamic Jihad warned against further Israeli attacks and an escalation.

Israel’s Security Cabinet will convene on Sunday to discuss the developments.
