IDF Expands Fishing Zone Off Gaza Coast

Jerusalem, 26 May, 2019 (TPS) -- The Head of the IDF’s Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), Major General Kamil Abu Rukun, announced Sunday that the fishing zone in the Gaza Strip has been expanded to 15 nautical miles.
The fishing zone was limited to 10 miles on Thursday after terrorists on Wednesday set fire at 11 points in areas surrounding Gaza using arson balloons.
The fishing zone was made smaller just a day after it was broadened to 15 miles as a goodwill and humanitarian gesture.
