IDF Reserves Soldier Killed in Car Accident

Jerusalem, 1 March, 2021 (TPS) -- First Sergeant Major Yosef Chaim Shalom, a 26-year-old IDF reservist in the 8194^th Battalion from Or Yehuda, was killed in a car accident on Sunday.

Another reservist was seriously injured in the accident.

The IDF stated that Shalom was promoted from the rank of sergeant major to the first sergeant major after his death.

He was buried in Yehud late Sunday night.

“The IDF shares the grief of the family of the deceased and will continue to accompany the wounded and the families of the fighters,” it stated.
