IDF Soldier Injured in Combined Terror Attack in Samaria

Jerusalem, 24 August, 2016 (TPS) -- A combined rock-throwing and stabbing attack against Israeli soldiers was carried out shortly after 2:30 near the Jewish community of Yitzhar in Samaria.
One IDF soldier was stabbed and lightly injured in the attack. The Palestinian stabber was shot and killed at the scene.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit has confirmed the stabbing, adding that details are being investigated.
According to other reports from the scene, the event began when rocks were thrown at the soldiers from a passing vehicle. The soldiers pursued the vehicle and took it of the road by crashing into it. The terrorist then exited the vehicle and stabbed a soldier before being shot and killed.
