IDF Officer Stabbed and Wounded in Mount Hebron; Palestinian Attacker Killed

Jerusalem, 20 October, 2015 (TPS) -- An IDF officer, a Company Commander, was stabbed in his face and neck around 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 20.

The soldier was lightly wounded in the attack, which occured in the town of Beit Awwa in Mount Hebron in the Judea region. He was evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.

The Palestinian assailant was neutralized and killed. Palestinian sources have identified him as Adi Hashem Muhammad Masalmeh, 24, from Beit Awwa.
