One Moderately Wounded in Stabbing Attack in Gush Etzion

Jerusalem, 25 October, 2015 (TPS) -- A stabbing terrorist attack occured shortly before 10:00 AM on Sunday, October 25, at the entrance to the community of Metzad in Gush Etzion.

According to an eyewitness, a civilian man, as he was driving had a rock thrown at his car causing the vehicle to stop. A terrorist then approached him and stabbed him in the chest with a 7 inch blade through the driver’s window which was open. The terrorist, who then attempted to flee the scene, dropping the knife on the sidewalk, was shot by the victim from his car.

Magen David Adom medics treated the victim who sustained stab wounds to the chest and is in moderate condition. He was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem.

The terrorist was reportedly pursued by security forces and neutralized.
