Islamic Movement Leader Starts 9-Month Prison Term for Incitement

Jerusalem, 8 May, 2016 (TPS) -- Head of the the northern branch of Israel’s Islamic Movement, Sheikh Raed Salah, has entered the prison in Beersheva where he will be incarcerated for nine months for incitement to violence and racism during speeches made in 2007.

In April, theĀ Israeli Supreme Court lowered Salah’s time of imprisonment from 11 months to nine months.
