Jerusalem, 3 May, 2016 (TPS) -- It has been cleared for publication Tuesday morning that Israel prevented the smuggling of four tons of ammonium chloride from Egypt to Gaza. The substance is used in the production of long-range missiles, and four tons of it are enough to produce hundreds of missiles.

The smuggling attempt was caught at the Nitzana customs terminal before Passover, inside a shipment marked as containing salt.
