Israel wins second gold medal at Judo Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi

Jerusalem, 29 October, 2018 (TPS) -- Israel won its second gold medal at the Judo Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi on Monday afternoon.

Judoka Peter Paltchik defeated Azerbaijan’s Elmar Gasimov in the under 100 kg weight category.

On Sunday, judoka Sagi Muki won a gold medal in the Grand Slam tournament and the Israeli anthem was played for the first time in the country.

Gili Cohen, Baruch Shmailov and Timna Nelson Levy all won bronze medals after finishing third intheir weight classes on Saturday.
