Jerusalem, 4 April, 2016 (TPS) -- According to reports in Israeli media, Israeli and Turkish negotiation teams are set to meet on Thursday, April 7 at a European capital to discuss normalization between the countries.

An Israeli negotiations team headed by Netanyahu’s representative Yossi Ciechanover will meet a Turkish team headed by Director General of Turkey’s Foreign Ministry Feridun Sinirlioglu, the reports said.

Israeli-Turkish relations were severely damaged after the Mavi Marmara incident in 2010 that resulted in the death of nine Turks. Turkey withdrew its ambassador from Israel and expelled the Israeli ambassador over the incident, and has since demanded that Israel apologize for it, compensate the victims and lift the blockade over the Gaza Strip.
