Israel’s First Lady Still in Critical Condition

Jerusalem, 4 April, 2019 (TPS) -- First Lady Nechama Rivlin, the wife of Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, is still in critical but stable condition after her health deteriorated late Tuesday.

She is still sedated and receiving respiratory aid in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit after experiencing severe shortness of breath due to cardiac complications.

Nechama underwent a complicated single lung transplant last month. She had been suffering from pulmonary fibrosis for several years.
