Jerusalem Affairs Minister: “PA Collapse Only a Matter of Time”

Jerusalem, 29 February, 2016 (TPS) -- “The collapse of the Palestinian Authority is not a question of ‘if’; it is a question of ‘when’,” said Israeli Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Zeev Elkin on Monday morning. “The wave of terror is a preface to the collapse of the PA.”

“Most of the candidates to succeed Abu Mazen are unelectable and will not beat Hamas in the elections,” added Elkin in a speech at Bar-Ilan University. “The candidate with the most chances is in Israeli prison- Marwan Barghouti. This is why when Abu Mazen will go, the PA will descend into power struggles and anarchy and will collapse.”

“There is no point in continuing this artificial resuscitation to the PA,” he concluded. “It should be buried together with the Oslo Accord.”
