Jewish Home leader Naftali Bennett says his party will not quit the coalition
Jerusalem, 19 November, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- Jewish Home leader Naftali Bennett said during a press conference on Monday morning that his party will not be quitting the government coalition.
Bennett says he decided to withdraw his ultimatum to the Prime Minister “that my party will quit the government unless I was given the post of defense minister,” but following Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s statements about the defense concerns facing the country on Sunday night, Bennett changed his mind.
“The ball is in the Prime Minister’s court. Will we stop being startled by Hamas? Will we stop being afraid and dismantle Khan al Ahmar? The real test is now. The public is sick of words,” he says adding that he will happily go back to doing good work in the Education Ministry.
