Jordan’s Ambassador Expresses Support For Both Arab and French Peace Initiatives

Jerusalem, 16 June, 2016 (TPS) --  

Jordan’s Ambassador to Israel Walid Obeidat expressed strong support for the Arab Peace Initiative launched by Saudi Arabia in 2002, at the 2016 Herzlia Conference. “In our opinion, the Arab peace initiative stands as the master of all initiatives,” Ambassador Obeidat said.

“The French uinitiative deserves all our support as well.”

Speaking before him, the Egyptian Ambassador Hazem Khairat also expressed support for the French Peace Initiative.

The remarks from both ambassadors were made against the backdrop of recent discussions and consideration from both Israeli officials and Arab heads of state to relaunch the Arab Peace Initiative.
