Jerusalem, 2 August, 2016 (TPS) -- The Knesset Plenum approved the “Core Curriculum Law” in its second and third reading on Tuesday morning, by a vote of 41 to 28. The law exempts ultra-orthodox schools from the requirement to teach core courses in English, math, and science, essentially overturning legislation in the previous government that made such classes necessary in order for schools to receive government funding.
