Lufthansa cancels flights to Israel

Jerusalem, 17 September, 2024 (TPS) -- Lufthansa Group has announced suspension of flights to and from Israel after a wave of pager explosions in Lebanon attributed to Israel.

“Due to the recent change in the security situation, the Lufthansa Group airlines have decided to suspend all connections to and from Tel Aviv (TLV) and Tehran (IKA) with immediate effect. This applies up to and including September 19. During this period, the Israeli and Iranian airspace will also be bypassed by all Lufthansa Group Airlines,’ – says the official announcement on the website of the air company.

The Lufthansa group consists of several passenger airlines – Lufthansa Airlines, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings.
