Intelligence Minister Katz: Golan Heights an “Inseparable” Part of Israel

Jerusalem, 17 April, 2016 (TPS) -- Preceding the weekly Cabinet meeting today, Intelligence Minister Katz emphasized his call for the Israeli government to unequivocally state its right to control the Golan Heights.
“I will propose to the government today to decide and proclaim that Israel will not allow any arrangement or agreements on Syria that does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights and as an area that is free of terrorism and threats from across the border,” said Minister Katz.
“The alternative to our presence in the Golan Heights is the arrival of Hezbollah and Iranian forces, or ISIS to the Sea of Galilee,” added Minister Katz.
