Jerusalem, 21 February, 2019 (TPS) -- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday spoke by telephone with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The two leaders “agreed to hold a working meeting in Russia in the near future and also discussed regional developments,” Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.

Netanyahu also congratulated Putin on Russia’s Defender of the Fatherland Day.

Netanyahu was slated to travel to Moscow to meet Putin in person, but postponed the trip and stayed in Israel to monitor the efforts to consolidate the political right.
