Jerusalem, 21 April, 2016 (TPS) -- During a meeting this afternoon in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that “the Golan Heights is a red line for Israel.” Netanyahu reiterated on the point by stating that the Golan Heights “must remain a part of Israel.”

Today’s meeting between Netanyahu and Putin, the third conducted between both leaders in the past six months, took place against the backdrop of recent reports suggesting that an Israeli relinquishment of the Golan Heights to Syria was considered by the international community as part of an overall peace agreement to the civil war in Syria.
