Jerusalem, 12 August, 2018 (TPS) --

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warned coalition faction leaders Sunday that without agreement on legislation regulating conscription of ultra-Orthodox Yeshiva students he will call early elections. Netanyahu told the faction heads that in the absence of an agreement, he would set a date next month for elections. The current Defense Service Law expires in September after the High Court of Justice ruled that it is unconstitutional, however last week the court gave the government an extension until December to pass new legislation.
