Palestinian Car Suspected to be Containing Explosives Rams into Checkpoint in Samaria

Jerusalem, 25 May, 2016 (TPS) -- On Wednesday afternoon a Palestinian car breached a checkpoint in Samaria near the community of Oranit and stopped next to it, raising the suspicion that the car contains explosives. Two men exited the car and attempted to flee, and one of them was caught by police forces. Searches are being conducted after the second suspect.

The crossing was subsequently closed to traffic in both directions to let police sappers inspect the vehicle. It was eventually discovered that there were no explosives in the car, and traffic resumed in both directions.
