Palestinian indicted for funneling funds to Hamas

Jerusalem, 15 July, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- The State indicted Muhammad Murtaja fro Gaza, for funneling funds from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) to Hamas. The funds were used to fund food and uniforms for Hamas operatives, as well as a swimming pool built in a Hamas base in Gaza, which was later destroyed by the IDF.

Following a plea bargain in which he admitted to the charges, Murtaja was sentenced to nine years in prison over membership in a terrorist organization and acting on its behalf.
