Jerusalem, 20 June, 2016 (TPS) -- A Palestinian shot by Israeli soldiers early last month succumbed to his wounds Sunday in a hospital in Hebron.

Arif Jaradat, a 22-year-old with Down syndrome, was wounded during disputes with Israeli armed forces on May 4 in his village of Sair, near Hebron. Jaradat’s family claims that he was shot by the Israeli soldier for no reason and that other soldiers in the area identified him as having Down syndrome. The IDF claims that Jaradat was carrying a Molotov cocktail in his hand and was a danger to the soldiers.
