Police Arrest 9 Arabs For Throwing Rocks at Israeli Cars and Security Forces

Jerusalem, 19 July, 2016 (TPS) -- Nine young Arab-Israeli residents of the neighborhood of Issawiye in eastern Jerusalem were arrested this week by police and Border Police forces, after they were identified as rioters who attempted to throw rocks at security forces. Some of them were also involved in rock-throwing towards Israeli drivers on the road linking Jerusalem with the town of Maale Adumim, their interrogation revealed.

The detainees include five minors, aged 15-17, and four adults in their 20s. They were taken for questioning and their remand has been extended ahead of legal action that will be taken against them.
