Police arrest man suspected of planning terror attack on Highway 1

Jerusalem, 24 October, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- Israeli Police arrested a Jerusalem resident in his 20s on Wednesday morning, suspected of planning to carry out a terrorist attack inside Israel. The suspect was apprehended and arrested near Shoresh interchange, on Highway 1 between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
“Following a suspected threat of an intention to carry out a terrorist attack inside Israel, the Israeli police carried out large-scale searches in Tel Aviv and found the suspect on Highway 1 near Jerusalem and arrested him a short while ago,” a Police spokesperson said in a statement.
