Jerusalem, 12 December, 2019 (TPS) -- The police arrested an Arab resident of Palestinian Authority (PA) who was in Israel illegally after he threatened to murder an Israeli woman with whom he had a dispute.

The police stated Thursday that after receiving a complaint a few days ago, its investigation revealed that the suspect, 19 from Hebron who was in Israel without a permit, threatened the complainant that he would come to her apartment and harm her because of a dispute that ensued between the two.

The police investigation led to the suspect’s arrest on Wednesday night at a Tel Aviv store, where he is suspected to be working without a permit.

In the meantime, the police are also investigating the issue of his illegal stay and employment in Israel and, accordingly, will commence with the process of closing the business that employed him illegally.

The police will seek to extend the suspect’s detention in the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court.
