Jerusalem, 28 June, 2016 (TPS) -- The Jerusalem police has announced that the Temple Mount will be closed to Jews and to tourists until the end of the week, following clashes this week between the police and violent Muslim rioters on the mount who attempted to harm Jews at the holy site.

However, the Palestinians continued their violence even after this announcement, throwing rocks and other objects at police forces and at Jewish worshipers at the nearby Western Wall compound. A woman at the Western Wall was slightly wounded from the rock throwing and was treated at the scene by medical staff.
