Bomb scare at Jerusalem’s Foreign Ministry

Jerusalem, 15 November, 2018 (TPS) -- Traffic was stopped outside the Foreign Ministry building in Jerusalem for half an hour on Thursday morning, following reports of a suspicious object that was found.

According to a statement, a short time ago, a report was received about a person who arrived at the Foreign Ministry and a suspicious object was found in his bag. An Israeli police sapper who was in the area is inspecting the item.

Following the situation, Rabin Street in Jerusalem was closed off in both directions.

Police confirmed later that the item was not an explosive, but the owner of the item was detained for questioning.
