Jerusalem, 22 March, 2016 (TPS) -- Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed hope for a renewal of the memorandum of agreement of the annual US military aid package to Israel, during his address to the 2016 AIPAC conference this morning.

“We’re now working on a new agreement to help bolster Israel’s security in the years to come,” said Netanyahu. “I hope we can conclude that agreement soon.”

The current memorandum of understanding expiring in 2017, provides Israel with approximately $3.1 billion annually, in military aid. Netanyahu’s Cabinet and the Obama Administration have yet to reach an agreement of the terms for a renewed agreement, however both sides have offered to increase the current amount of $3.1 billion.
