Jerusalem, 5 April, 2016 (TPS) -- During a hearing today at the military court in Castina, the prosecution attempted to rescind the open detention status of the soldier who shot and killed a Palestinian assailant a week and a half ago. The prosecution presented an autopsy report which according to the prosecution, shows the cause of death to be gunfire from the soldier in question and not from the soldiers who neutralized the Palestinian attacker.

Meanwhile, the soldier’s attorney Ilan Katz responded by claiming that the prosecution was presenting “a one-sided picture that contradicts evidence and common sense.” Katz also referenced prior testimony from the soldier’s commander who said that the soldier was in shock.
