Shin Bet Reveals: Arrested Hamas Member Gave Israel Information on Tunnels

Jerusalem, 5 May, 2016 (TPS) -- A Hamas terrorist arrested by Israel at the beginning of April has revealed a significant amount of information on the efforts by Hamas to build tunnels into Israel, the Shin Bet cleared for publication today.

Mahmoud Atauna, 29 years old from Jabalia in Gaza, who has been a member of the Hamas military wing for a decade, was arrested after crossing into Israel carrying two knives and intending to commit a terror attack. He revealed the information during his interrogation, the Shin Bet statement said.
