Smugglers caught sneaking one ton of meat from Palestinian Authority into Israel

Jerusalem, 15 July, 2018 (TPS-IL) --
The Enforcement and Investigations Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture discovered a commercial vehicle smuggling half a ton of beef from the Palestinian Authority into sovereign Israel Sunday, with the intention of selling it in Sha’ab, an Arab village in the northern.
The Ministry, in a joint operation with Nazareth Police and the Israel Tax Authority a quarter-ton of lamb fat stored in a butcher shop under prohibited conditions.
