Stabbing Attack Near Nablus Wounds IDF Officer; Attacker Killed

Jerusalem, 14 January, 2016 (TPS) -- A Palestinian man threw a glass bottle at an military vehicle on the hillsides of Mount Ebal in Samaria shortly after 1:00 PM. When the force exited the vehicle to arrest him, he produced a knife and stabbed an IDF officer.

The officer, who serves as a company commander in the army’s officer training course, was treated for light stab wounds he suffered in his hand.

The assailant, identified as 36-year-old Yassin Mahmoud Abdul Jalil from the village of Asira al-Shamaliya, was shot and killed by the IDF force.
