Stabbings Prevented in Jerusalem and in Karmei Tzur

Jerusalem, 9 February, 2016 (TPS) -- Two stabbing attacks by young Palestinian women were prevented on the morning of Tuesday, February 9.

A 13-year-old girl was caught with a knife at about 8:30 AMĀ at the entrance to the Jewish community of Karmei Tzur in Judea. A resident of the community had told the security guard about a suspicious figure nearing the community, he stopped her, inspected her and discovered the knife in her bag.

She was subsequently arrested and taken for questioning.

Shortly after, a stabbing attack was attempted by a 16-year-old resident of JerusalemĀ at the Old City’s Damascus Gate. She attempted to stab border policemen who were inspecting her and was fended off and arrested. There were no casualties in the incident.
