Jerusalem, 10 July, 2016 (TPS) -- The Jerusalem District Attorney filed a charge for 6,912 NIS to the Jerusalem District Court this morning, against two 17 year olds who threw rocks at the light rail and shattered the train’s window in September 2015. The sum is equal to the amount that the state had to invest in order to repair the damages.

The lawsuit was filed as a move to enforce laws against rioters, as well as ongoing efforts to deter public rail disruptions. Israel has been dealing with hundreds of rock throwing incidents over the past two years.
