Jerusalem, 27 April, 2016 (TPS) -- The police have cleared for publication that Fyodor Beijanri, a 26-year-old resident of Haifa, has been arrested for a wide array of alleged violent crimes, including murdering and raping four women in recent years. He is also suspected of  many cases of arson.

Over 40 days after he was arrested, Beijanri’s identity and photo have been published in hope that members of the public will step forward with additional information that could help the police investigation. Most of the investigation details remain under gag order.

The crimes all took place from 2013 onward, with the latest murder occurring this year. Beijanri has confessed one murder to a police informant.

Attorney Lior Ronen who represents Beijanri, said: “The suspect denies the suspicions attributed to him. He has been under arrest for over 40 days and has yet to learn all of the suspicions. The suspect also made claims about the police’s treatment of him, and these things will be raised in court.”
