Jerusalem, 27 November, 2019 (TPS) -- Israeli forces securing the entry of worshippers to pray at Joseph’s Tomb in the city of Shechem (Nablus) on Tuesday night exposed and neutralized an explosive charge that was placed in the worshippers’ path, the IDF stated.

Some 1,400 Israeli worshippers arrived at Joseph’s Tomb to pray.

The entry into Shechem, which is under Palestinian Authority (PA) control, occurs several times a year. The prayers take place only during the night and under heavy security provided by the Israeli forces.

In related news, Israeli forces carrying out counter-terrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria arrested eight wanted persons suspected of involvement in terror activities and violent disturbances against civilians and soldiers. The suspects were transferred for questioning.
