Two Jews Arrested After Trying to Enter Temple Mount as Muslims

Jerusalem, 5 April, 2016 (TPS) -- Two 21-year-old Jewish men were arrested at the entrance to the Temple Mount on Tuesday afternoon, April 5, after telling the policemen they were Muslims.

According to the Jerusalem police, the policemen suspected them and thouroughly checked them until they discovered the men were Jews. They were arrested and taken for questioning.

Muslims are allowed to enter the compound from 10 different gates and their access is relatively free, while Jews are only allowed in their holy site in certain hours and from one gate, under constant supervision and after a strict check.
