Israeli Soldier Stabbed in Tel Aviv Terror Attack

Jerusalem, 30 May, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- Tel Aviv (TPS) – A 19-year old Israeli soldier was stabbed on Monday evening in Tel Aviv in an apparent terror attack. The victim, who was reportedly stabbed with a screwdriver, sustained light to moderate wounds on the upper portion of his body, said paramedics who provided treatment on the scene.

The police announced that a Palestinian suspect from the Judea and Samaria territories, approximately 17 years old, is in custody. The attack was apparently terror related, the police said.

The victim was transferred to the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, where he is being treated for light wounds, the hospital said.
