Zionist Union Pays Tribute to Peres

Jerusalem, 29 September, 2016 (TPS) -- Zionist Union MK Tzipi Livni commemorated Shimon Peres during an ongoing special faction meeting of the party in his honor.

“President Peres received the love and support in his last years, that he was denied because, or thanks to, his refusal to compromise on his beliefs,” stated Livni.

“He showed that security is only made possible by rightful policy and also proved that it is possible to win even after bitter losses. [ … ] His historic greatness was not recognized because he succeeded but because he tried.”
