Jerusalem, 29 October, 2023 (TPS) -- Israeli security forces arrested overnight 23 Palestinians in Judea and Samaria who were wanted for involvement in terror activities, the Israel Defense Force said. Four of the fugitives are associated with Hamas.

In the Asksar refugee camp next to Shechem (Nablus), Israeli forces demolished the home of Hassan Qatnani, the IDF added. Qatani and Moaz al-Masri killed Leah Dee and her two daughters in shooting attack in the northern Jordan Valley in April. Qatani and Masri were killed in a shootout with Israeli forces in May.

Palestinians in the refugee camp threw explosives at the soldiers, who returned fire. Soldiers confiscated an M-16 rifle from one terrorist in the area.

In the village of Silat al-Hartia, near Jenin, a wanted Palestinian was arrested with 12,000 shekels ($2,900) intended for terror activities. During the raid, there was an exchange of fire with Palestinians, who also threw explosives.

Since Oct. 7, more than 1,030 wanted Palestinians have been arrested throughout the Judea and Samaria, of whom 700 are associated with Hamas.
