Ismail Haniyeh’s 3 Sons Killed in Israeli Airstrike

Jerusalem, 10 April, 2024 (TPS) -- Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh confirmed to Al Jazeera that three of his sons and three grandchildren were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza on Wednesday.

Palestinain reports identified the three sons as Hazem, Amir and Mohammed.

Israeli officials have not commented.

Haniyeh, who is based in Qatar, is worth an estimaged $4 billion, and and his family owns dozens of real estate properties in Gaza.

Israeli authorities recently arrested Haniyeh’s sister, Zebah Abdel Salem Haniyeh, who is an Israeli national, on terror charges.

At least 1,200 people were killed and 240 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the remaining 134 hostages, Israel recently declared 31 of them dead.
