Israel, Kazakhstan Seek Deeper Ties in AI, Agriculture, and Water Management
Jerusalem, 27 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Astana (Kazinform) – Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said on Tuesday that Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar’s visit confirms Israel’s firm commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to enhancing trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation, and implementing joint projects in the areas of artificial intelligence, agriculture, and water resources management.
The President welcomed the holding of a Kazakh-Israeli business forum during Gideon Sa’ar’s visit to Astana, the results of which are intended to make a practical contribution to expanding the two countries’ investment partnership.
In turn, the Foreign Minister emphasized that Israel is interested in giving serious impetus to elevating bilateral relations.
Sa’ar expressed gratitude for Tokayev’s decision to join the Abraham Accords, which he said will further strengthen stability, peace, and international dialogue.
The Israeli Foreign Minister also praised the large-scale political and socio-economic reforms being carried out in Kazakhstan, expressing confidence in their successful implementation.
During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on current issues on the international agenda.
Earlier, Tokayev sent a telegram to the President of Israel Isaac Herzog on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
