Jerusalem, 30 October, 2023 (TPS) -- The Israeli Defense Forces and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced on Monday evening that it rescued Pvt. Uri Magidish, a female soldier kidnapped by Hamas on October 7.

The announcement said she was rescued during an overnight mission.

Following her release, she underwent a medical examination and is in good condition. She has been reunited with her family. The IDF and Shin Bet affirm their ongoing commitment to secure the release of all abductees.

Magidish is the first of more than 230 hostages rescued from Gaza.

She was taken captive from the Nahal Oz army base near the Gaza border.

“The IDF and the Shin Bet will continue to make every effort to bring about the release of the abductees,” the statement said.

Earlier in the day, Hamas released footage on Monday showing three female Israeli civilians hostages. The women in the video were confirmed to be Danielle Aloni, Rimon Kirsht and Lena Trupanob, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In the video, the three appealed to Netanyahu for a prisoner exchange and criticizing him for the security failures that led to the Oct. 7 attack. Israelis said the three appeared to be speaking under duress and accused Hamas of psychological warfare.
