Palestinian Teen Killed While Throwing Rocks at Israeli Motorists
Jerusalem, 7 April, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- A Palestinian throwing rocks at Israeli motorists near the village of Turmus Ayya was killed and two other stone throwers were injured when soldiers opened fire on them overnight, the Israel Defense Forces said on Monday.
“The soldiers opened fire toward the terrorists who were endangering civilians, eliminating one terrorist and hitting two additional terrorists,” the army said.
The IDF also released aerial footage of the incident showing the three throwing stones.
The mayor of Turmus Ayya, Adeeb Lafi, told Reuters that Omar Mohammad Rabea, who was killed, was a 14-year-old US national. The other two Palestinians were also teens.
A report on Palestinian violence in 2024 found that 56% of the fatalities and 69% of the injuries from terror attacks took place in Judea and Samaria. Hatzalah Judea and Samaria, a volunteer emergency response organization documented 3,668 incidents of rock-throwing, 179 shooting attacks, 526 explosive devices, and 843 Molotov cocktails. The report also documented 12 car-ramming attacks and nine stabbings nation-wide.
Since Hamas’s October 7 attack, Israeli forces have arrested 6,000 wanted Palestinians in counterterror operations in Judea and Samaria. Around 40 percent were affiliated with Hamas.
